Every September, National Recovery Month reminds us that recovery is possible, and that it is strongest when a whole community shows up for it. At Journey House Foundation, we believe recovery happens through connection. That belief is at the center of everything we do, from peer support to supportive housing to the food pantry and essential items closet that helps participants meet their most basic needs.
Right now, our pantry and closet are critically low. This Recovery Month, we are inviting the Richmond community to help fill them by becoming a Journey House partner in community.
Why It Matters
People rebuilding their lives in recovery often arrive with very little. Basic necessities like food, hygiene products, and bedding restore dignity and allow participants to focus their energy on healing, growth, and long-term stability. Your organization, congregation, classroom, or team can become part of that journey.
