It’s never “Goodbye,” but instead a see you later. On November 21, 2025, Journey House Recovery Center hosted a room dedication for beloved friend, advisor, and founding clinician of Journey House Behavioral Health, Rev. Dr. Dewayne Randolph. Organized by co-founder Kimberly Braine Tillem, Journey House staff and participants gathered and opened our doors to Dr. Randolph’s closest friends and family. A special seat was saved for Dr. DeWayne Randolph’s wife, Melvina Randolph, as we celebrated the life of a pivotal person in Journey House’s history.
Honoring Legacy
From his empowering mentorship of Journey House staff to his collaborative leadership at Journey House Behavioral Health, Dr. Randolph had a significant role in the growth and evolution of the organization. His long-term support and positive impact will be felt for years to come.
Kaeler McCollough, Program Director for Journey House Behavioral Health shared her fondest memory of Dr. Randolph, “His genuine love for helping others,” she spoke. “He cared deeply, he showed up consistently, and brought wisdom and passion into, honestly, every interaction that he had, and that definitely stuck with us. The room dedication reflects the impact he had on all of us here at Journey House. He will be missed and he has been missed. But he will also continue to be remembered here, especially with our JHBH team.”
Tears fell and smiles brightened as Lance Otis, Kaeler McCollough, and CEO/founder Michael Tillem shared remarks during the dedication. Dr. Randolph played an important role in the development of Journey House Behavioral Health, and will be fondly remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him. On this day, it was clear the influence that Dr Randolph had on many hearts across the community.
