Recovery happens one person, one family, and one community at a time.
As we reach the midpoint of 2026, Journey House Recovery Center is proud to share the progress our participants, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners have made together. Every number represents a person who chose hope, accepted support, and began building a new future.
Our mission is to provide a complete recovery support system of care that empowers individuals to heal, grow, and thrive without substance use. Through our integrated network of affiliated services, we continue to provide compassionate recovery care, supportive housing, peer recovery support, and long-term pathways to lasting recovery.

Every Number Represents a Story of Hope
These statistics tell only part of the story.
Behind every number is someone rebuilding relationships, finding stable housing, securing employment, reconnecting with family, and discovering purpose beyond addiction. Every participant brings a unique story, and every recovery journey deserves individualized support.
At Journey House Recovery Center, recovery extends far beyond treatment. Participants have access to an integrated network of affiliated services that can support them through every stage of recovery, including:
- Journey House Behavioral Health outpatient substance use treatment
- Journey House Richmond Recovery Residences
- Journey House Foundation peer recovery support and community programs
This continuum of care allows participants to receive the right level of support at the right time while remaining connected to a community that encourages long-term success.
A Growing Need for Comprehensive Recovery Care
The individuals we serve often face significant challenges beyond substance use.
Many are rebuilding after involvement with the criminal justice system. Others are navigating co-occurring mental health conditions alongside substance use disorder. Lasting recovery requires more than clinical treatment alone. It requires stable housing, meaningful relationships, employment support, peer encouragement, and a community that believes recovery is possible.
That is why Journey House Recovery Center continues to invest in an integrated recovery model that walks alongside participants throughout their recovery journey, helping them move beyond surviving to truly thriving.
Building on a Strong Foundation
Our mid-year progress builds upon the outcomes highlighted in our 2025 Impact Report, which demonstrated the life-changing impact of a complete recovery support system of care.
As our programs continue to grow, so does our commitment to expanding access to compassionate, evidence-based recovery services throughout the Richmond region. Every participant who walks through our doors strengthens our belief that recovery is possible when people receive the support they need for as long as they need it.
