RICHMOND, VA – July 10, 2026  As part of this year’s Paint the Town Red outreach program, Lifepoint Church is helping support Journey House Foundation through two service projects that will provide essential resources to individuals and families on their substance use recovery journey.

Each summer, Lifepoint Church mobilizes hundreds of volunteers for Paint the Town Red (PTTR), an annual program dedicated to serving communities across the region. This year’s outreach, taking place July 9–12, includes 25 service projects in just four days, bringing people together to meet practical needs and strengthen neighborhoods through acts of kindness. Throughout the campaign, volunteers will participate in community cleanups, food bank support, family events, and outreach projects designed to make a lasting impact.

On July 10th, volunteers gathered to assemble and deliver 50 hygiene bags for residents in the Journey House Recovery Center program and organize a pallet of essential food items to donate to the Journey House Foundation food pantry.

The Impact

“Journey house is truly a beautiful organization. From the very moment we were introduced to Kimberly and Michael, we were moved by how they love the community,” says Billy Grantz, Sr Coordinator of Outreach with Lifepoint Church RVA. ”It is such an honor to partner, with shared compassion, to bring hope to the people of Henrico. We love collaborating with Journey House and we can’t wait to see continued impact!

The Commitment

Since the fall of 2025, Lifepoint Church has been a valued partner of Journey House Foundation. From packing snack bags for children in the Hope at Home program and writing encouraging notes to stocking the food pantry, their volunteers have consistently demonstrated compassion and generosity. Their continued partnership helps provide hope and practical support to individuals and families on their recovery journey.

Collaboration truly changes communities. We are deeply humbled by the kindness, generosity, unwavering commitment to the people of Richmond, and continued partnership with Lifepoint Church and its congregation. We cannot thank them enough for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve,” said Kimberly Braine-Tillem, Co-Founder of Journey House Foundation. “Many of our participants arrive with very few personal belongings and limited resources. By providing essential personal care items and everyday necessities, Lifepoint is helping remove barriers that allow individuals to focus on what matters most—their recovery, healing, and rebuilding their lives.
